It will be of no surprise to you that image consulting is essential for any company, no matter its size or turnover. As a company you want your employees to always present their best image to ensure that your company's brand message remains intact.
If your employees present themselves well, it creates a positive self-image, which allows them to have better relationships with other people (colleagues, customers, etc.) as well as results in better overall performance at work.
Clothing, accessories and footwear create your personal image - it's what you present to the world - and it impacts how other people perceive you. You may be communicating a lot through your image, even if you haven't been aware of it until now.
As your personal stylist in Geneva and beyond, with a long career in multinational firms beforehand, I know the importance of corporate styling or branding in a corporate career.
I offer various services to companies and their employees to help people find a style that communicates the messages they want to communicate. For example, I offer group presentations, workshops or individual consultations. If you would like to know more about the services I offer, I would be happy to discuss your current needs and concerns with you.
Getting Ahead
Your external appearance and specifically your clothes, jewellery and accessories form what we refer to in the business as your ‘brand’ – they affect how others perceive you. What are you communicating, consciously or unconsciously, through the clothes you choose to wear?
It’s all in the detail!
Research shows that you can tell a lot about someone - personality, politics, status, age and income -just from looking at the way they dress for work. Particularly in respect of their choice of accessories, such as shoes and bags.
When you’re dressing or grooming for the workpalce, consider what your choices say about you and whether this is in line with the message you want to communicate professionally. There’s no right or wrong answer here; it’s all about context and alignment with your personality.
Did you notice that whenever the Prince of Wales (Prince William) attends charitable youth organisations he speaks without a jacket and often with his sleeves rolled up? In this way, he immediately yet silently closes the gap and communicates to his audience that he is close to them, on their wavelength.
Can clothing impact thoughts?
Dressing smart is important for your self-confidence and sense of self-empowerment. New research shows that it also impacts how you think. One study found that dressing appropriately, in line with a company’s values, increases positive thinking and gives people a broader perspective.
What’s the Workshop About?
In a fun, interactive workshop, we will explore what personal style looks like and we will focus on some of the most obvious dressing and grooming challenges in the corporate world – and how best to overcome them. We will go through key aspects of your personal branding step-by-step; it’s all about making the most of what you have, consistently. We will examine a few rudimentary rules of the style manuals, such as what colours and shapes work on you, and we will look at how you can add some personality to your clothes whilst continuing to respect the professional dress code of your industry.
