As an International Personal Stylist in Geneva, I rarely see Creative style personalities in my studio, as they typically don’t follow so-called style rules or guides. Creatives prefer instead to follow their own sense of style and individual expressionism.
This blog article is for you if you’d like to learn more about the Creative Style Personality and how you could incorporate some creative tendencies into your own unique personal style. Happy reading!
Let’s start at the beginning with a definition:
According to the Oxford Dictionary, Creative means “the use of skill and the imagination to produce something new or a work of art”. Applying this to Personal Style, a Creative Style Personality is the most unique one. It’s all about expressing yourself and making a statement, mixing patterns, colours, prints and textures as well as various clothing styles mixed together.
A Creative Style Personality will typically shop in vintage and pre-loved clothing shops, enjoys curating unique looks that reflect their own uniqueness and won’t be influenced by whatever’s on trend.
If you’d like to dress with more creativity, why not try out some of the following ideas:
🌟 You can start by experimenting with different textures, colours, and patterns. Mix and match different pieces to create unique looks, such as animal print with checks, knitwear and leather (fax-leather options work too), florals and knitwear.
🌟 Don’t be afraid to add a few accessories such as jewellery, hats, or scarves to complete your look. You can go for one bright colour, or patterns to really bring out your unique take on creativity.
🌟 Play around with different cuts and silhouettes for a more creative effect. It’ll be important to keep in mind your body shape though.
🌟 Lastly, don’t forget to have fun! Your creative side is all about exploration, give it a go and see how you feel. It’s not for everyone of course, but I highly recommend giving it a go if you’d like to break free from your usual style routine.
