How to choose your accessories?

As an International Personal Stylist & Colour Consultant, I know all about the importance of choosing the right accessories to elevate your style.

If you are petite (5ft3” and under) - lucky you 😍 - the key is to choose pieces that won’t overpower your frame. Opt for simple earrings and delicate necklaces. You can also try layering multiple delicate pieces for a unique look. Accessories such as watches and bracelets will add a touch of sophistication to your look without adding bulk. If you’re average height (5’4” - 5’7) - lucky you 😍 - you can wear most types of accessories with ease. The key is to keep the accessories small to average sized and delicate if you have small to average proportions too. Make sure your pair accessories with clothing that is not too baggy or oversized. A good rule of thumb is to try to create a balance between your clothing and accessories. For example, if you are wearing a statement necklace, pair it with a plain top to create a balanced look. If you are tall (over 5’7”)- lucky you 😍 - the best way to wear accessories is to choose pieces that are larger in size. For example, if you are looking for a necklace, opt for a longer one that will draw attention to your neckline. You can also look for earrings and bracelets that have a more substantial presence or statement pieces as I like to call them. Remember to be creative with your choices, as the right accessories can help add a unique touch to your look while opting for something that reflects your personality.
